Mike & I are so excited to say that Hadley Taylor Larsen has arrived!!! On Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 1:00 a.m. I woke up to extremely intense contractions. I decided to see if they would keep up before I went to the hospital. So for the next hour and a half I sat there in bed as they continued to get stronger. I woke up Mike at about 2:30 a.m. and told him that I thought I was in labor. He was extremely tired, it was cute! I went and turned the light on and decided that I would take a shower to relax myself and get ready so I looked cute for pictures. Well after I turned the shower on, my contractions became even more intense that I had to bend over and hold my stomach! I changed my mind about getting ready, I just needed to get to the hospital! So after we hurried and gathered up all of our stuff we were on our way! We checked in at about 3:00 a.m. I was already dilated to a 5! I was in so much pain, as I quickly learned what back labor is all about. Holy Smokes! I was very fortunate though, as she came pretty quick, especially for my first! When I wanted to start pushing, the nurses let me know it would be a little bit before Dr. Layton (who I absolutely loved!) came. So I started pushing and a few minutes later, the nurse went and called Dr. Layton and he was there within 5 minutes. I was lucky and only pushed for 15 minutes total! Hadley was born at 9:40 a.m. and weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. She is the most beautiful little girl and has such a sweet spirit. She only cried for a couple seconds (long enough to let mommy know she was here and healthy) and then she was very content. She didn't even cry (or flinch) when they gave her a shot of Vitamin K! She is such a happy little girl and Mike and I are ecstatic that she chose us to be her parents! Mikey is the best support and has taken on the Daddy role so naturally! He is the best daddy and you can feel Hadley's love for her daddy! We sure love Hadley and are so excited to see her sweet spirit grow!
Here are some pictures below, there are a lot - the more the merrier! I am so sad that some of our visitors were left out, I guess we forgot to take some pictures! Sorry guys (Aunt Lori, Uncle McKay and Aunt Merelips) The good news is that we definitely will get some good pics with you guys over the Holidays!
My first time holding my little angel right after she was born!
