Hadley is Here!!!!!

Mike & I are so excited to say that Hadley Taylor Larsen has arrived!!! On Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 1:00 a.m. I woke up to extremely intense contractions. I decided to see if they would keep up before I went to the hospital. So for the next hour and a half I sat there in bed as they continued to get stronger. I woke up Mike at about 2:30 a.m. and told him that I thought I was in labor. He was extremely tired, it was cute! I went and turned the light on and decided that I would take a shower to relax myself and get ready so I looked cute for pictures. Well after I turned the shower on, my contractions became even more intense that I had to bend over and hold my stomach! I changed my mind about getting ready, I just needed to get to the hospital! So after we hurried and gathered up all of our stuff we were on our way! We checked in at about 3:00 a.m. I was already dilated to a 5! I was in so much pain, as I quickly learned what back labor is all about. Holy Smokes! I was very fortunate though, as she came pretty quick, especially for my first! When I wanted to start pushing, the nurses let me know it would be a little bit before Dr. Layton (who I absolutely loved!) came. So I started pushing and a few minutes later, the nurse went and called Dr. Layton and he was there within 5 minutes. I was lucky and only pushed for 15 minutes total! Hadley was born at 9:40 a.m. and weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. She is the most beautiful little girl and has such a sweet spirit. She only cried for a couple seconds (long enough to let mommy know she was here and healthy) and then she was very content. She didn't even cry (or flinch) when they gave her a shot of Vitamin K! She is such a happy little girl and Mike and I are ecstatic that she chose us to be her parents! Mikey is the best support and has taken on the Daddy role so naturally! He is the best daddy and you can feel Hadley's love for her daddy! We sure love Hadley and are so excited to see her sweet spirit grow!

Here are some pictures below, there are a lot - the more the merrier! I am so sad that some of our visitors were left out, I guess we forgot to take some pictures! Sorry guys (Aunt Lori, Uncle McKay and Aunt Merelips) The good news is that we definitely will get some good pics with you guys over the Holidays!

Happy Fall!!

Happy Fall Everyone! It is starting (only starting) to cool off in the great state of AZ! Good for me because my belly is getting pretty big! We had another Dr. appt. today and everything is going great! I am so blessed to have a fairly easy pregnancy and have an amazing husband who helps me and still thinks I'm so beautiful! I can't believe Hadley will arrive in 2 months! I am so excited, yet feel kinda unprepared! We are in the process of finding a house, so wish us luck that we find one before she comes! No matter what I hear you can't ever completely be prepared, so I'll take that advice and just enjoy every day. I am very anxious to meet out little girl and to see her personality. It is so fun to already be able to see her little personality in the womb. The other day I was reading a book and resting my book on my stomach as I sat on the couch, well Hadley didn't like that very much! She kept kicking me and when I'd move the book, she'd stop! It was a little game we played for about 5 minutes, it sure made me smile! She is also very peculiar who she will let know that she is in there. Besides her mom and of course her daddy, she has a short selection of who actually gets to feel her kick and show off! It's pretty cute! Mike and I are doing great, Mike started school this semester. I am so proud of him for listening to the Spirit and moving forward with so much faith. He always does what is right and always has a smile while doing so. He is amazing and I am so grateful he is my husband. Hadley and I are sure lucky girls! This fall semester will bring so many fun and exciting changes and I know I am definitely looking forward to all the excitement and joy coming to our family!

Our Babymoon!!

Mike & I are expecting our first child - a little GIRL! She will arrive somewhere near November 22, 2010. We are very excited to welcome our daughter into this world! We have thought a lot about names and this is her name (most likely) Hadley Taylor Larsen! Our families were both headed to California on vacation at the end of July so we decided to not only visit both families while we were in San Diego, but to have our own little BabyMoon! It was a lot of fun and we stayed in a beautiful hotel that overlooked the San Diego Bay (free upgrade for being on our babymoon - pretty cool!) We had a blast and were sad to see our vacation end.

The view from our hotel room, hard to tell but it was such a beautiful view!

The Birch Aquarium in La Jolla
Yes, he is covered in sand!

Coronado Island - there were some fun shops and it was a great day to be outside!
